About Dr. McDowell
I'm a Marriage & Family Therapist in the state of Maryland and I've been practicing therapy with individuals, couples, and families since 2005. My clinical approach is always tailored to your specific needs and I encourage clients to play an active role in their treatment and continually give feedback. I use a variety of clinical models, but primarily:
I practice at Laurel Fay & Associates, a private practice in Silver Spring, MD. Here, I enjoy the company and support of an absolutely wonderful group of colleagues! I also serve as the Administrative Coordinator for the Middle Atlantic Division of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, a position I've held since 2008. In this position, I coordinate Executive Board meetings, continuing education events, and legislative advocacy efforts for therapists in Maryland, Delaware, and the District of Columbia.
